Dr. Vikas Gupta’s credentials do
not only lie in the academic section of Orthopedics, he has participated in
numerous volunteer camps, such as the one organized by Impact India and Rajiv
Gandhi foundation for the care of
poliomyelitis patients in remote Indian village on (Hospital on wheels) - Life Line Express in July 1996 at Aligarh.
This is a foundation he has been continually associated with and even attended
the Polio Camp, organized by Impact India in September, 2001.
Dr.
Gupta’s highest merits are his live surgeries, a large number of which he has
conducted, successfully. One such surgery was conducted at Hand Surgery Update,
2003, which was held in All India Institute of Medical Sciences on 26th
and 27th of April, 2003. Dr. Gupta performed perineural repair and
cable grafting, under a microscope, on a patient with combined injury to median
as well as ulnar nerve. Another surgery was on a patient with scaphoid nonunion
at IOA Hand course, May 1st, 2005, at Ludhiana. The recent most
surgery conducted by Dr. Gupta was a wrist Arthoroscopy at the Internation
Symposium Arthroscopy, on 30th March, 2008 in New Delhi.
